This eight-piece ensemble from North Carolina is bringing back the influence of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding and combining it with the blues for a truly original sound. It's working hard to make it big, and its latest album, We Are Mighty Lester, won Best Self-Produced CD of 2007 from the Blues Foundation. The name says it all, and the high-speed chase of the piano, trumpets, saxophones and guitars demands a lively show.
